Project Background

Our client has long used 50kg PP woven bags for feed powder packaging. With the goal of upgrading their product packaging grade and expanding into the European and American export markets, they put forward clear core requirements: the new packaging must be high-end, moisture-proof, breathable, and completely free of powder leakage—problems that traditional woven bags could not solve.

After in-depth communication, we recommended PE block bottom valve bags as the ideal replacement, which are not only more premium in appearance but also more stable in performance, perfectly adapting to long-distance export transportation and standardized pallet stacking in EU & US warehouses.

Customization & Sample Testing Process

Since the customer could not confirm the exact air exhaust volume during the filling process, we adopted a "sample testing first" strategy to ensure the solution’s feasibility. We provided 4 types of prototype samples covering different venting structures, allowing the customer to conduct on-site tests:

1. Ordinary micro-perforated venting valve bag
2. Labyrinth venting dust-proof valve bag
3. Non-vented valve bag without perforations
4. Non-woven fabric breathable valve bag

The customer tested all samples to verify the powder leakage performance and anti-bulging effect during automatic filling. The test results showed that only two rows of pinhole perforations could fully meet the requirements of breathability and dust tightness, eliminating the need for complex and costly labyrinth or non-woven structures.

Considering the customer’s budget affordability, we selected the cost-effective standard PE valve bag version. Combining the feed powder’s bulk density, filling machine parameters and the original reference bag size, we optimized and finalized the bag dimension as 60×40×11cm (for 20kg packaging).
